Vacation ~Monday and Tuesday

This was our sunrise on Monday morning. This is the view from our top balcony off our master bedroom. It was a wonderful way to start our day! God is amazing!

Caitlin and I decided to do sand art each day! We were working hard on Monday! The name of this piece of work is "Turtle Compound"!

This is what we woke up to on Tuesday morning!! Yikes!!!

We decided to take the kids shopping. We had given Chase and Caitlin money for making all A's and B's ALL YEAR LONG!!!! We gave Tyler a new skim board for all his A's and B's. This was a last minute surprise to them. John and I talked about it and how blessed we are to have such wonderful students in our family! They do so much besides school and they still do very well. We let them buy whatever! We headed to the beach when we got home. Caitlin and I started on our sandart for the day! :) We created the "Mer-Dog"!!!!!! It was suppose to look like a mermaid however, when we looked at the picture, it looks like a dog face--oh well:) We had tons of fun!

This is beyond disgusting!!!!! Tyler is obsessed with sand fleas. He put this one in his belly button! Yikes!!!!

One Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One year ago ......................TODAY!!!! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our lives---we love you all!

Today, we celebrated our first anniversary! We decided to stay at the beach for our family vacation. John and I came over alone for 3 days and my parents are going to bring our children over on Monday to spend the rest of the week with us. We got very lucky that no one is checking in on the 4th so we get to stay and celebrate over here. Our family is very excited. Back to our anniversary..... John and I are beyond happy. We have NEVER been happier....we actually talk about how weird it is. We have so much fun together and this year, in ways, flew by but in others, we feel like we have never been without each other. I am looking forward to many more years together. John makes me so happy each day. He got M&M's with our wedding date on them and our names. He also ordered me a real book that has he and I as the main characters. It is from a website called http://www.bookbyyou.com/. It was very thoughtful. He really put thought into and that is really important to me! He treats me like a queen! I love you baby!!!! Life is Good...so good !!!!

Father's Day

WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!! John said that he wanted to spend the day at the beach with his family! Jeff and Tricia stopped by to hang out and we had fun with everyone! Chase was spending the day with Ricky.

Like father, like son.........................John can still keep up with the kids!

Pray for ME

Lord~ Please help me make the right decisions concerning Chase and help me learn to let him go slowly. He is growing up and wanting A LOT of freedom. I am not ready to let him go at 15!!!!!This is a very difficult time and I want to make the right choices!

In Memory of Jack Funderburk

A week ago Thursday, Jack was killed in a tragic car accident. He was a very kind man. He had a great personality. He was on his way to work--- you never know when your loved one might not make it home. He left behind is wife ~Kathy, a daughter~Kendra and a son ~ Jason. Kendra is due with her first child within the month. We have been friends for 20 years now! I am very sadden by this event. Kathy is very special to me as well. She has been a great friend and supporter of me and my family for years. These are very strong people! Please put them on your prayer list! I have prayed for peace and comfort to surround them in this difficult time. They have a long road ahead!

Summer Vacation~ Six Flags

We were just about to start our fun day! We were meeting John's family at the park!

Caitlin and I had tons of fun in the water park! Chase was with us but started to get cold!

Since we were wet...............we decided to do the other water rides! The guys were dry and they waited patiently for us! Thanks Boys!!!

We rode this ride twice and Chase was too cool to ride it the second time....actually it hurt his back!

We had a WONDERFUL two days! The kids were so good and very thankful! It was a prefect way to start off our summer break!

Summer Vacation~ Stone Mountain

First of all, I must say that I love technology! It is after midnight......we are in Georgia.......I have uploaded all my pictures to get printed and to our blog page and we still 3 hours from home!!!
OK, as for our vacation, we were planning on going to Six Flags but we decided Saturday night to go to Stone Mountain too. It is about a 6 hour drive...............the kids were good!! We got there about 5:30. We packed a cooler so we could have a picnic dinner on the lawn waiting for the laser/firework show. We all thought that the carving on the mountain was amazing. It was gigantic!! As you will see below, we had a lot of fun waiting for the show to start...NEVER A DULL MOMENT!!!!!!!!!! :) We are all glad that we got to spend a day there.
