Christmas Eve in St. Augustine

It is the day before Christmas Eve and we are in St. Augustine at a B & B. We get the kids for Christmas morning every other year and we decided the first year that we were together that we did not want to wake up on Christmas morning without our kids in the house..so, we just would not be there either :) So, every other year on Christmas Eve, we go on a quick trip to our favorite little town. We enjoy walking around, eating at our favorite restaurants, looking at the lights and just unwind from the holiday stress. We have so much fun!! We miss our kids but we enjoy that time together. We did something a little different this year. We decided that on Christmas morning, we would deliver breakfast and coffee to some of the homeless people. A few years ago, we were walking around and saw the homeless on Christmas morning. It struck our heart and so this year our church wanted us to do something for someone else. John and I knew just what to do. So we got sausage biscuits and got the B & B to make us 3 containers of coffee. We made bags with goodies and delivered them to those that had nowhere to go. They were very thankful for the warm breakfast. It felt good to do something for a total stranger.
Sunset from our balcony!!
We opened our presents from each other at breakfast. I got John some new shirts....
He got a friend to paint a portrait of one of our wedding pictures for me. It is so pretty and very thoughtful.

Frosty was hanging around the back streets on Thursday.
This is our annual Christmas Eve photo.
We were hanging out under the gazebo and relaxing before dinner at Pizza Alley!
