JUCO Baseball Showcase

Today, we spent the day at a ball field. Chase was participating in a showcase where 5 coaches from different community colleges we there. This is a great opportunity for Chase to get his name out there and for colleges to check him out. He is an amazing athlete and person. It was so hot. We found a shady spot for during the times that Chase was not on the field. John had worked all night and he was exhausted so he tried to take a nap. He was not too successful. But I was thankful that he was with me. He loves watching Chase--thankful for that as well. I took this picture below as one tear rolled down my cheek. He is the one in the blue hat--right behind #8. I was looking through the view finder and just couldn't believe that I was standing at a Community College field watching a college coach talk to him. I thought we were just on the T-ball field--really, we were!!! Pray for my emotions in the next few years. I apparently will need it, if I am already tearing up!! Life is on fast forward!!

Chase and another player from his team were chatting in between drills :). Zak did great as well.

I really can't believe that he is my son...Doesn't he look so grown up??? He was one of the youngest ones--but one of the best all around.

Chase got a great hit ...
Chase did a great job on the mound....

One of his pitches was clocked at 84mph!! Go Poo!!
All of the coaches sat directly behind home plate and then there was a coach in the field. To most people it would be pretty intimidating but Chase was like a rock! He struck out the first 2 guys he faced :)

Chase was getting some one and one instruction from one of the coaches. It was a great experience for him. He did so great today. He has wonderful things ahead.

Caitlin's Straight A ceremony

Last Tuesday, Caitlin and the other students were honored by the Kiwanis Club for making all A's. They had a ceremony that was followed by a catered lunch. WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER!!!!! WAY TO GO SIS :)

They are so gorgeous! Caitlin is truly turning into an incredible young woman.

Mother's Day weekend

We started my 'Mother's Day Weekend' on Saturday. John made plans for us on Saturday since Cait and Ty would be spending Sunday with their mom. We went to breakfast over at the beach. I had a great breakfast and was showered with gift. The cards that each of the kids gave me had wonderful, sweet messages inside. John took the kids to pick out a bead for my bracelet. They choose one that best represented them. They were the perfect gift. I look at them each day with a smile. We spent the day at the beach--shocker :) and had a PERFECT DAY!!!

Chase choose the cross for him. Cait choose the crown, since I call her princess and Ty choose the football.
John bought me some new perfume that I wanted--Intimately Beckman. It smells sooo good.
Look at our beautiful family!! They are beautiful inside and out.
Waiting for the perfect wave.....
Skimming....

I had to post this one........John busted it pretty hard.

On Sunday, we went to church and then out to lunch. Chase's Aunt and Uncle were in town so we hung at Ryan and Celena's house for the day. It was a gorgeous day without ONE cloud in the sky. We had the best time. From there we went to see my mom and visited with her for a little bit.
Me and my baby boy--YIKES :)
Aunt Renee and Uncle Greg with the kids.
Me and my Haley-bug!!
I love my girls!
