Football Preseason...High School and Pop Warner

The boys started their season off on Thursday night due to the approaching storm. Chase got the only touchdown. This was pre-season game and it was only a half. We did lose but we are expecting great things this season.
Here is our little Indian cheerleader..the most beautiful and talented one out there. She did SO great. Way to go sis!!!!On Saturday, we had Tyler's jamboree game in Union County. Both John and Chase are coaching this year. Tyler is playing center again this year. We are hoping for big things from him this year in an Indian uniform.

Chase's LAST...FIRST DAY!!!!!!!

Well....This morning was my baby's last first day!!!!!! I was ok..when he was here. I got a little emotional on the way to school. I am not sure where the years have gone. I've had Chase over half my life..I guess that what happens when you have a child at 17. He is the single most greatest thing that ever happened to me. He is the air I breathe and I am hoping for an amazing year. AND through the tears......I am excited as to what his next steps will be. REALLY...I really am. :) Chase's first day of Kindergarten.....Wasn't that just the other day?

Be ready for some emotional....irrational post throughtout the year. I am a work in progress. He is first.....last and only and I am not sure what and how to do it! :)

Hillsong United..Tampa FL

My friend Kim called and asked if Chase and I wanted to go with her and Tori to a Hillsong United concert in Tampa. They are one of our favorite christian groups. They are an AMAZING worship group out of Austraila. It is actually just their church's praise team--it a huge church. Anyway...they never come to the states so we jumped on the chance. We ended up meeting Renee and Greg for dinner at Outback since we were just down the road from their house. We had lots of laughs..it was a great start to the night.

Our seats were Awesome..there were no better seats. We were on the first row of the second level so no one was in front of us! We stood, sang and had fun worshipping.....They rocked!!!

Back to School Bash at Community

I was asked at the beginning of the year to take on the task of heading up our 3rd Annual Back to School Shopping day. This event is for families that can not afford school clothes. Think back to your first day of school each year...you might not have had new stuff for all week...like our kids but it something about that first day that you wanted to have something great. Being a teacher and see many kids on the first day and how BLESSED my own children are it was something that I have helped with every year but I was not sure that I want or could be the leader. It took me a while to agree and many prayers. I had SO much help. We washed, folded, sorted, ironed and hung up over 4000 piece of clothing. We wanted it to be as if they were really shopping. We had different tables labeled with sizes, Sak Fifth Ave bags...dressing rooms..personal shoppers to help them, free dinner, hair cuts, shoes...etc. It was an amazing night, We helped about 214 childern get ready for school...

Every child got a free pairs of socks and underwear. We spent over $2000! It was worth every penny.

Warehouse of extra clothes...

Those lockers were STUFFED with over 300 pair of shoes...so cool.

The doorway to the salons. Amy did a wonderful job with these rooms. It made the kids feel special. Many of them have never had a real hair cut at a salon so it was a great thing.

Boys barbershop.....

The girls hair salon.....

We had a 'lice-fairy' that checked hair before the kids could get their free hair cuts....

Kim was my right hand lady...working in the warehouse where we restocked clothes!
