Back to School Bash at Community
I was asked at the beginning of the year to take on the task of heading up our 3rd Annual Back to School Shopping day. This event is for families that can not afford school clothes. Think back to your first day of school each year...you might not have had new stuff for all week...like our kids but it something about that first day that you wanted to have something great. Being a teacher and see many kids on the first day and how BLESSED my own children are it was something that I have helped with every year but I was not sure that I want or could be the leader. It took me a while to agree and many prayers. I had SO much help. We washed, folded, sorted, ironed and hung up over 4000 piece of clothing. We wanted it to be as if they were really shopping. We had different tables labeled with sizes, Sak Fifth Ave bags...dressing rooms..personal shoppers to help them, free dinner, hair cuts, shoes...etc. It was an amazing night, We helped about 214 childern get ready for school...
Every child got a free pairs of socks and underwear. We spent over $2000! It was worth every penny.

Camp Decision.....2011
This is our annual church camp..this year Caitlin wanted to go and it was indescribble. There was so much fun as well as miracles happening all around with our teenagers. People can say whatever they want about camp. I believe that there are good and bad parts to everything in life but I when to be able to pray and witness changes in our youth...and I got my wish!! It was a very fun yet exhausting time.
John was so good to come up and help us pack the bus.
This is our group...LOVE BOMBERS..Our goal is to bomb people with LOVE!
Hannah, Morgan, Lyndsay, Cait, Becca, Kristin and Honey..are just a few of my girls.
I am SO glad Caitlin stepped out of the box and decided to go with us!
Josh, Dalton, Evan, Chase and Tommy posing like studs!!
At camp, the youth workers actually run the camp. We get assigned jobs and I got to be a team leader. They split the kids up. Our name was the Pineapple Willy's Flower Bombers. I had some great kids that were from all over.
I had the group of 14&15 year old group so I got to be with Cait on most of the challenges, so that was good.

There is this thing called "planking". People just fall to the ground and lay down face first in the most random places...other people join. So Pastor John decided he wanted to 'plank' so he called our boys down to help with this...

This has become one of my all time fav pic. This was at our last night service.
From here below- my pictures got out of order somehow BUT it is TOO much work to fix so just enjoy the shots and know that it is killing me that they are not as they happened! :)
This was in the courtyard before we loaded the bus...Andrew was playing his ukulele and singing Train's Soul Sister...we sounded SO good.
Our wonderful leaders...

Our worship time was so amazing...
Basketball has become a favorite past time at Camp Decision. It use to be where to pastors played the winners....well this year after our boys won...AGAIN
We had a time at the end of the night that all the girls met in my room...at MIDNIGHT and we talked about our day and what happened at night service. This was one of my favorite times to hear from the girls and we just had great discussions.
Great shot...
This was on the last night and Daniel was leading worship for a few hours..so awesome and then he said, "where are all my Keystone Boys?"---now this is out of 1200 kids. He said that he felt God want them to come down and pray for them. So there they are! He went to each one of them. When he was praying for Chase...he said----everything that we knew. He reminded Chase that he has the power to become whatever he wants and God has put him in a place of leadership and he has the ability to lead the school in a different direction and that there are great things ahead. Needless to say...I had tears. He respects Daniel as a godly man and a musician and I really am thankful for the way he has treated our youth. We have invited him to KH and he is hoping to come.
