Chase turns 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WON'T BE LIKE THIS FOR LONG.............................
16 years ago today......was THE MOST INCREDIBLE DAY EVER!!!! Not too many people my age can say that they know what it is like to be in high school and have a child. I have graduated with honors from both high school and college. I've worked very hard in the past 16 years.......AND WORTH EVERY SECOND OF IT!!!! He has been my world ever since the day I knew he was in my tummy. I never knew that I could love something as much as I love Chase. I can honestly say that I don't love Chase anymore today than the day I laid eyes on him. However, I enjoy him more! He has developed a great personality and sense of humor. We have an amazing relationship that I am sure many people envy. He really does like hanging out with us and talking. I have had a rough time with him turning 16 and taking that first step in letting go...a little! It has always been us, he has always been right by my side and always with us. I think the one thing that I will miss the most is our car rides. That has always been our spot........we talk...we sing....we laugh! That has always been my favorite part of the day, driving to school and driving home from practice. I especially loved having him in the car after a great ballgame! Those are memories that I will cherish forever. I feel like I am losing my driving buddy that I have had for 16 years. I know the cycle of life and it must happen but I am hanging on the best I can! I could not be more proud of Chase! He has a 3.8 GPA, he plays varsity football, basketball and baseball. He is a great son, brother and friend to everyone. He loves the Lord and is just a great all around guy. Today is his birthday and I hope he knows how special he is and that he is my world and there is nothing that I would not do for him. I love ya BooKoo! Chase was only a few minutes old! He is so precious!!

First day home-this was taken right after his first sponge bath in the sink .

Chase first day home. He was wore out after all the company we had!

Chase your smile lights up a room! Thank you for being so special to all of us! Keep your eyes on God and you will not go astray. Thanks for all of the laughs and memories! Happy Birthday-Bub!!

Hurricane Bill at Vilano

We headed to the beach for the day to have fun in Bill's big surf! As you can see, the waves were gigantic. I got some amazing shots and the family had so much fun!

These flowers are so pretty to me! They look so beautiful in the dunes!

Lazy Days at the Lake

The Kinsey's is one of our favorite places to spend our days! We put the slide in the water for an extra fun time! Chase was hanging out with Larissa and Sis was still with her mom!

Happy Birthday, Chelsea!!!!!!!

Today was a special day! Chelly was celebrating her 15th birthday. Her birthday is not until Aug. 6th. We were very happy that we were able to hang out and have some fun with our friends!! Rock band was going nonstop in the livingroom while the rain fell outside!
John and Bruce (aka Patrick) were cooking it up out in the Tiki Hut!! Kimmie, we have some wonderful husbands! I know you are just as thankful as I am!

Friends Forever!!!!

Also......friends forever!!!

We came into the livingroom and Tyler was ROCKING OUT...all by himself! It was so funny to watch!
Chase and Evan decided that Tyler needed some back up dancers! :)

Pop Warner, conditioning

Saturday was the first official day of Pop Warner football for Tyler. John is going to be an assistance coach this year. This is something that he has always wanted to do with Tyler. This year he finally got the chance. He works with him at home and is very good with children. I think he missed his calling. He would be an amazing teacher--ya never know, there has been talk in the past that if he wanted to go back to school, I am behind him 100%. The schools would be lucky!! Anyway, the first day was very hot but Tyler was a great leader. All of that work that John has done with him, is paying off! The first game will be Aug. 29th. More to come........

NASA

John's parents took all the grandkids down to Kennedy Space Center on Friday. Luckily, the landing was changed from Texas to Florida, so they were able to see the shuttle land. My family went down there many times over the years to see the shuttle lift off. My favorite is the night launches. John and I are planning to take them down for the next night launch. Thank you Meme and Poppy for always making special memories with your grandchildren!! We appreciate you both very much!!

Vacation Bible School

Our church had VBS this week! Chase was a crew leader. The kids loved him so much!! John and I helped out too! We had a great time being there. If you are wondering where Cait and Ty are in our pics, well....they were hanging at the beach with Angie. Tyler was bummed that he was not able to come."Of all weeks", he said!! He asked if he could ask his mom about coming while they were on vacation at the beach for a day or two. We told him that would be a lot of driving and maybe next year. We talked to them today and they had fun with their mom!
Chase, we are very proud of your leadership and compassion!
Look at those amazing leaders!
They were demonstrating they way God helped the Israelites across the Red Sea.

Chase and John working hard

Chase is getting John's truck for his 16th birthday! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He and John are working on getting it ready for a new paint job buy taking off both bumpers, grill, lights etc. He has been wet sanding it and preparing it for paint. After this week, he will not see the truck until his birthday! We are going to "Pimp His Ride" and surprise him with the finished product. It is a very emotional project! I can't believe it's that time already! More to come......
"How many more bolts are holding on this bumper?"

Chase is turning wrenches and working hard!
